Excursion to Subiaco – Sunday, 6 September 2026

Dear CFM Students,

This coming Sunday, 6 September, we will make our common pilgrimage and excursion to Subiaco, the cradle of Benedictine monasticism. Below you will find the practical details and the detailed schedule for the day.

🕒 Schedule of the Day

  • 06:00 – 06:30 | Breakfast at the Generalate

  • 06:45 | Departure Readiness at the main entrance (please be punctual!)

  • 06:50 | Bus departure for Subiaco (we will pray Lauds together on the bus)

  • 08:30 | Guided tour of the Upper Monastery (Sacro Speco)

    • Note: We must start punctually at 08:30 so as not to disrupt the conventual Sunday Mass.

  • Following | Eucharistic Celebration for our CFM group in one of the chapels

    • Priests: Please remember to bring your own alb and stole.

  • After Mass | Walk to the Lower Monastery (St. Scholastica) followed by a guided tour

  • 13:00 | Lunch together in Subiaco

  • 16:00 | Departure by bus back to Rome (we will pray Vespers on the bus)

  • ~18:00 – 19:00 | Expected arrival back at the Generalate (depending on traffic)

  • 19:00 | Dinner at the Generalate

🎒 What to Bring & Important Notes

  • Hydration: Please bring your own water bottle / drinks for the day.

  • For Priests: Don't forget your alb and stole for the concelebration.

  • Punctuality: Due to the fixed tour schedule and liturgical times in Subiaco, we kindly ask everyone to be at the main entrance strictly by 06:45.
